The Great American Outdoor Show, held in Harrisburg, PA, from February 1-9, 2025, was a highly anticipated event for outdoor enthusiasts across the East Coast and proved to be a tremendous success.
The show kicked off with the NRA Foundation Sportsmen’s Auction on January 31, uniting passionate Second Amendment supporters and fostering lasting connections. The energy in the room was undeniable, with attendees demonstrating their deep commitment to the NRA Foundation’s mission to Teach Freedom. The event featured a captivating live auction, thrilling games and raffles, and a delicious dinner.
The live auction featured items from the 2025 Friends of NRA Standard Package, including the Boning and Chopping Knife Set pictured above, exotic hunts, and one-of-a-kind firearms and merchandise. Thanks to the overwhelming support of attendees, the banquet proudly achieved High Caliber Club status, a testament to the generosity and dedication of those who attended. A particularly inspiring moment came when Maggie, a 2024 NRA participant, took the stage. Y.E.S. is a week-long scholarship and leadership trip in Washington, D.C. Her heartfelt speech about her Y.E.S. experience captivated the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of the profound impact our mission has on the next generation of leaders.
The Wall of Guns, one of the most iconic attractions at the Great American Outdoor Show, had an incredible year. On opening day, the Wall of Guns experienced record-breaking participation and was a tremendous success, making a significant impact on fundraising.
One memorable moment came from a father-daughter duo who both walked away as winners. After the father won in the first round, his daughter, full of excitement, decided to buy tickets for the next round. In an incredible twist of fate, she won—and they both ended up picking the same gun!
It’s stories like these that make the Wall of Guns such a special part of the Great American Outdoor Show, bringing people together while supporting a great cause.
