The NRA Foundation provides essential program funding, through Friends of NRA fundraising, to ensure the availability of quality training and educational opportunities nationwide. Each State Fund Committee recommends grant recipients for their own state every year. This year, the Texas State Fund Committee recommended Fayette County Sheriff’s Office to be one of their NRA Foundation grant recipients.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was awarded $4,500 from The NRA Foundation, which will be used to purchase service ammunition for enhanced firearm training for deputies, reserve deputies, and corrections personnel. Inflation has caused the sheriff’s office budget to be tight, like it has for many others, and the extra financial help for training has been much needed. The sheriff’s office says, “The additional ammunition provided by The NRA Foundation grant allows each Deputy the issuance of an additional box to supplement the ammunition being issued each quarter. If not for the additional funding by The NRA Foundation, the amount of training for each Deputy would be limited.”

From 2007 through 2022, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has received 14 grants from The NRA Foundation, totaling more than $79,000. The NRA Foundation and Friends of NRA are proud to support law enforcement with ammunition funding for their firearm training.
