"Joe attended and worked 24 out of 26 Banquets across the entire state of Illinois in 2023. Joe Geuss is a person of STRONG and HONORABLE character- he is well respected by his peers across the state. He has a wealth of fundraising knowledge and helps every committee grow as ONE TEAM. Joe Geuss logs thousands of miles a year on his personal vehicle in an attempt to sell tickets for, attendance, and help out at every single Friends of NRA event in Illinois. He works tirelessly with each individual committee to ensure event set up is above standard; Joe works until the last person goes home EVERYWHERE...anyplace/anytime.
Joe Geuss is our Volunteer of the Week because he is the GOLD STANDARD of what The NRA Foundation looks for in a volunteer. Joe LIVES this program. He helped with everything from set-up to take down for almost every event in Southern Illinois. In addition, he worked games and helped with the live auction at every single event, volunteering hundreds of hours of his own personal time to make the committees in Illinois succeeded as ONE TEAM. Joe Chaired the Loaded Gun Safe committee and spearheaded the effort resulting in a statewide NET POSITIVE of over $214,000! His efforts alone are a direct result of Illinois' finish as one of the TOP FIVE states for fundraising in 2023."
