"Barry is detail oriented, which makes him an excellent chairman. He uses spreadsheets and is great at documenting everything for Bradford Area Friends of NRA. He regularly keeps committee members up to date on what's happening, and always listens and contributes to discussions during meetings. We work well together on delegating tasks to sub committees within our banquet committee.
In addition, Barry does an incredible job promoting the Bradford Area Friends of NRA event. He leverages local media outlets such as the radio and community bulletin boards, he hands out event information to other organizations, and we have sold raffle tickets at local sporting goods shop open houses. Barry also goes above and beyond with coordinating donations. He keeps a working list from previous events to keep track of donor information, then is persistent and follows up with those donors.
Not only does Barry do a great job leading the committee and promoting the event, Barry is heavily involved with other things as well. Barry has been on the Friends of NRA Steering Committee for Eastern Pennsylvania for 12+ years, the last 3 years as the Steering Team Chairman. Barry has volunteered and worked the NRA Frederick, Maryland show when they had it in the past and assists with the NRA Great American Outdoor Show each year in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. For the past 18 years, Barry has been involved with NRA's Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) at the local, state, and national level, and is currently the Pennsylvania YHEC State Coordinator. Last but not least, he is involved with Troy Rod & Gun Club and area Youth Field Days."
