Brian Henry

Eastern Upper Peninsula, Michigan Friends of NRA
1 year of service

Individual Activities:

  • - Sold 100 banquet tickets, raising $6,000
  • - Raised $4,000 in pre and post-event raffles
  • - Arranged underwriting for 10 items totaling $1,800
  • - Acquired 12 donations valued over $1,500
  • “Brian has been a breath of fresh air for the Eastern UP team as they were going to fold up after 23 years of activity; but thanks to Brian stepping up and taking over leadership, the Eastern UP event was a major success in 2016. Even though this is Brian’s first year as Chairman of a Friends of NRA committee, Brian took to it like a duck to water. He is both enthusiastic and well organized and is always willing to ask questions about how to improve his team’s event. His leadership qualities had more people at the event set up this year than ever before and more than enough volunteers to run the event.

Brian worked 2 gun shows, as well as making numerous cold calls, and printing, stuffing and mailing over a 1,000 letters in order to grow this events. Brian also serves his community as the Secretary of the Chippewa County Shooting Association, Match Director for all Benchrest Matches at the CCSA, a 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor, a Hunter Safety Instructor, a member of his local Elks club, and as a volunteer at the Upper Peninsular MYHEC event.”
